Hinton Fact!
Hinton was known for many years as the "Windmill Town", as every residence was conspicuous with a windmill on it's premises. Also, a windmill and watering trough for horses stood in the intersection of Main and Broadway. The town incorporated in 1904 and grew rapidly until the population reached the 1,000 mark.
