About Hinton
In many ways, one could say that Hinton is much the same as it was 100 years ago. Hinton is and always has been a progressive, bustling, friendly and fun place. A great place to live as well as to raise children, educate them in a great school system, give them spiritual guidance in one of the many excellent churches and watch them grow into the leaders of tomorrow both here at home and in other places they so choose to reside. At the same time, we are much different as we grow and change with the times and the business environment. One will see this in the slow but progressive move north of town where a strong traffic flow at I-40 calls out to the business people as they work to achieve success in a tough economy. Growth that will someday change the face of downtown, but growth none the less. Growth is good, stagnation is doom in a small town. We are proud of who we are and the fact that we are and will continue to be progressive.
