Downtown Hinton is much as it was over 100 years ago. The old windmill has been replaced with a new marquee and many of the old buildings have been replaced with new shops, but the spirit of what was is alive and well in this special town nestled just minutes from I-40 on Highway 281.
Hinton is located just South of Interstate 40 off Exit 101. With Sugar Creek Golf Course – a premier 18-hole course, Sugar Creek Casino, an airport complete with rental gliders, Red Rock Canyon State Park, Canyon Camp and Conference Center, 2 historical museums, various parks and the foremost in sports venues – Hinton, Oklahoma might be the Nation's best-kept secret.
Come for the fun – stay for the people. Whether you are passing through and stop at one of our 3 gas stations for a quick fill-up and bite to eat or staying at one of our 2 hotels – or at Red Rock – you will instantly recognize hometown people – eager to help, always friendly.

2014 Hinton Water Consumer Confidence Report
The Town of Hinton would like to thank all of our local firefighters and EMTs during yesterday’s fires. We would like to extend our thanks to Weatherford, Hydro, Lookeba-Sickles, Geary, El Reno, El Reno FCI and Mustang fire departments for their quick response and the use of their trucks. It’s amazing to see how our community pulls together during tough times; local restaurants, Bravos, Broadway Pizzeria and Subway provided food and many citizens provided drinks to all of the first responders. Thank you to Ronnie Wright for providing a trachoe to help extinguish the fire. We are beyond thankful to the town employees and citizens who came out to evacuate the Police Department. We are proud to have such a strong community that comes together in times of need.
